
Mr. C.P. Subedi was born in the picturesque hill of Kaski, Nepal, which is known as the heart of the Sleeping Buddha. This region holds historical significance as it is where the Nepalese Shah Dynasty, initiated by Kulamandal Shah, first took root. Growing up amidst the awe-inspiring surroundings of mountains, Mr. Subedi was exposed to a trekking and touristic environment at an early age. In 1989, he enrolled at PNC, Tribhuvan University.
From 1990 onwards, C.P. Subedi embarked on a career as a trekking guide. He led numerous national trekkers through renowned mountain routes such as Mt. Dhaulagiri near Thapa/French Pass, Mt. Annapurna, Thorong-la Pass, Mt. Manaslu, Ghorepani, Mustang, Manang, and Gorkha. In 1991, he established Padmashree Travels and Tours (1991-1993), followed by Pokhara Cosmos House (1992-1994), Temple Guest House (1993-1995), and Mt. Kailash Guest House in 1996.
After completing his bachelor’s degree in geography and sociology in 1996, Mr. Subedi decided to further his studies abroad and dive deeper into the field of tourism, choosing Japan to be his destination. In the same year, he also got married. During his five years of study in Japan, he acquired extensive knowledge about professional business practices in the country. In 2006, he established Everest Fuji International Co Ltd, followed by Everest Curry and its branch in 2007, Monsoon Curry and its branches in 2008, and Himani Restaurant.com and branches in 2013 in Japan’s Kato region.
Additionally, Mr. Subedi is an active member of NRNA (Non-Resident Nepali Association) and provided assistance in the aftermath of the Fukushima earthquake in 2011. He has also dedicated his time as a long-time volunteer at Kotowald, Tokyo. Mr. Subedi’s wife has played a vital role in supporting their family and business, aligning with his long-standing ambition of fostering a progressive hospitality industry in Nepal. The realization of their vision, the “Project Shaara,” spanned five years and reached completion by the end of 2019.
